P2P Workshop!!
The workshop will begin on Thursday, 4 October 2001 at the close
of the Internet2
Fall Member Meeting, and will conclude during the afternoon on Friday,
October 5, 2001. Topics include:
- Exploration of the advantages of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) models for applications
in research, teaching, and learning and in enterprise
- An open discussion regarding how universities can integrate and perhaps
even innovate with this "revolution", and ideas on how universities
can benefit from them
- A look to the future, how do we take advantage of the possibilities presented
by P2P and explore and engage in the new opportunities presented

The
"P2P" (peer-to-peer) list promotes discussion of distributed media
applications and how they are affecting universities. This list is
intended for discussing issues surrounding peer-to-peer applications,

dealing with them.
